In Leh, the annual Ladakh Festival 2025, a cultural extravaganza for the promotion of tourism, which has been held ever since Ladakh opened for tourists, commenced in Leh with grandeur and vibrant cultural celebrations. The opening ceremony was held in Leh yesterday with a spectacular showcase of Ladakh’s cultural heritage, arts, music, sports, religious and social traditions by organising Cultural processions by cultural troops and artists.
The festival is celebrated by the department of tourism and culture of Union Territory Ladakh, Leh Hill Council and Incredible India. Chief Executive Councillor of Leh Hill Council, Tashi Gyalsion, as Chief Guest and Bollywood actor Siddhant Chaturvedi, as Guest of Honour, attended its inaugural ceremony. The four-day festival is planned to offer a wide range of tourist promotional activities to explore varied interests from folk cultural tradition, sports, celestial, music, dances, film, celestial, wildlife and handicrafts and handloom exhibitions at different venues in Leh city.
