Leh Autonomous Hill Development Council has expressed grief over the death of four people who lost their lives during a tragic incident on the 24th of this month in Leh, Ladakh. Terming this incident unfortunate, the Council has extended its deepest condolences and urged a thorough investigation into the matter. 

 

 

In a statement, the Chief Executive Councillor of Leh Autonomous Hill Development Council said that certain rumours are being circulated, terming the incident as Gen Z revolution. The Council termed these narratives misleading. It said, the youth of Ladakh have always been hardworking, responsible, and peace-loving, and they must not be held responsible for such unfortunate developments.

 

 

The Council appealed to the young people and all stakeholders of Ladakh to remain calm and not to fall prey to misleading information. The Chief Executive Councillor, Leh reaffirmed that the government has assured a constitutional safeguard to protect the aspirations of the people, and leaders of Ladakh have been invited for the dialogue.
