In poll bound Tamil Nadu, today is the last day of filling nominations for the 234 constituencies. Leaders from various political parties, including former Chief Minister and State Opposition leader E. Palanisamy, former State BJP President and Union Minister Dr. L. Murugan, Former Governor of Telangana Dr. Tamilisai Soundarrajan, and State BJP President Nainar Nagendran, filed their nominations from their respective constituencies today.

More than five crore 67 lakh voters will decide the fate of over three thousand 400 contestants in the fray. Nominations will be taken up for scrutiny tomorrow. Candidates can withdraw their nomination by 9th of this month. Polling is scheduled to be held on 23rd of this month, and counting of votes will take place on 4th of next month.
