In Uttarakhand, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rainfall in most districts of the Garhwal region and in some parts of the Kumaon region over the next 24 hours. In view of the alert, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today took stock of the rainfall situation in the state from the State Emergency Operation Center in Dehradun. He held a virtual meeting with all District Magistrates to review the condition of roads, arrangements for the Char Dham and Kanwar Yatra and the status of electricity, drinking water and other essential services. The Chief Minister directed all the officers to remain on alert mode so that any emergency situation can be dealt with effectively. Meanwhile, intermittent rain continues in various parts of the state.
