Ladakh: LG Kavinder Gupta Launches Rs 180.24 Cr Projects in Kargil

In Ladakh, Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Shri Kavinder Gupta, during his maiden visit to Kargil, reaffirmed the Government of India’s and UT Administration’s commitment to fulfilling the aspirations of the people and transforming Kargil into a developed district.

       

In a grand event organized at Auditorium Hall, Kargil, LG Gupta virtually laid the foundation stone and e-inaugurated developmental projects worth 180.24 crores rupees. Major projects included a 300-metre motorable bridge over Suru River, road upgrades, steel girder bridges, irrigation canal work, and the installation of solar submersible pumps to enhance irrigation in remote areas.

       

Addressing the gathering, LG Gupta emphasized inclusive growth, improved connectivity, and promotion of tourism in Ladakh. He highlighted the game-changing role of the Zoji La Tunnel and assured that efforts are underway with the Civil Aviation Ministry to resume civilian flights from Kargil Airport.
