In Ladakh, under the ongoing Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, a Cycle Tiranga Rally was today organized in Kargil by the Tourism Department in collaboration with Downhill Kargil. The rally, flagged off by Deputy Commissioner and CEO LAHDC Kargil, Rakesh Kumar, brought together around 30 cyclists from different parts of the district.
The programme was aimed not only at promoting physical fitness and healthy lifestyles but also at instilling deep patriotic sentiments among the people. By carrying the National Flag through the streets and chanting patriotic slogans, the participants reminded citizens of the values of freedom, unity, and democracy.
Officials said such initiatives strengthen the emotional bond between the people and the Tiranga, and inspire every household to proudly hoist the National Flag from August 13 to 15. The event also paid tribute to the sacrifices of freedom fighters and underlined the importance of preserving India’s sovereignty and integrity.
