Ladakh: 6,000 participants registered in 6 types of races for upcoming 10th Edition of Ladakh Marathon scheduled to start on 7th September at Leh

In Ladakh, 6 thousand participants have registered in 6 types of races in the upcoming 10th Edition of the Ladakh Marathon which is scheduled to start tomorrow at Leh. Both international and national runners have already arrived in Leh for acclimatisation to Ladakh's climatic conditions for high altitude areas.

According to Ladakh Marathon organisers, runners from twenty-seven countries and almost all States of the country except three States have registered for participation in all six races. The four-day event will begin with two ultra marathons -the 122km long Silk Route Ultra and the 72 km long Khardongla Challenge. 47 Runners are registered for participation in Silk Route Ultra which is scheduled for tomorrow while with 261 registered runners, the Khardongla Challenge will be held on the 8th of September. Being a part of the race, it has become one of the wishlists of runners from all over the world as it is listed as the highest as well as one of the toughest marathons.
