As part of the ongoing Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) has launched the nationwide celebration of Khadi Mahotsav 2025 to promote the ethos of Swadeshi, self-reliance, and cleanliness.
From 17th to 19th September, the KVIC Central Office in Mumbai organized a range of activities aligning with the themes of Swadeshi (self-reliance) and Swachhata (cleanliness). A special Cleanliness Drive-05 was conducted on 18th September at Juhu Beach, led by KVIC Chairman Manoj Kumar.
Chairman Kumar gave the message of “Serve the Nation by cleanliness”. He urged officials, employees, and local citizens to actively participate in building a clean and green India. Hundreds of KVIC officials and employees enthusiastically joined the campaign.
On 19th September, KVIC honoured students, employees, and officials who had excelled in various competitions related to Swadeshi and Seva Parv initiatives. To mark the occasion, KVIC officers and employees at the Mumbai headquarters dressed in traditional Khadi attire and participated in a symbolic ‘Khadi Yatra’, pledging their commitment to the ‘Vocal for Local’ movement. A vibrant Swadeshi Rangoli competition was also organised, receiving enthusiastic participation from all departments
