Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today said that the Kumbh Mela reflects India’s inclusive cultural spirit, where people come together beyond caste and ideology.
Speaking at a religious gathering, Mr. Fadnavis highlighted that the state is making extensive preparations in Nashik for the Simhastha Kumbh Mela 2027 to ensure smooth arrangements for lakhs of devotees.
He described the Kumbh Mela as a unique event where all participate equally and seek spiritual purification in sacred rivers like the Ganga and Godavari, without discrimination. The Chief Minister also spoke about key policy measures, including laws to prevent forced religious conversions and protect women from fraudulent marriages. He added that Maharashtra will continue to follow the guidance of saints and social reformers.
