In Kerala, the Kollam Vigilance Court has granted bail to Head Priest Thantri Kandararu Rajeevaru in Sabarimala gold misappropriation cases. Thantri had been under judicial custody in two separate cases related to the misappropriation of gold from the Sabarimala Temple. Thantri is listed as the 13th accused in the case related to the misappropriation of gold from the temple’s doorframes, and the 16th accused in a separate case related to the irregularities in temple idols. He was arrested last month by the Special Investigation Team, which is conducting the probe under the monitoring of the Kerala High Court.
