In IPL cricket, Rajasthan Royals will take on Punjab Kings at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur this afternoon. The match is scheduled to begin at 3:30 PM.
Punjab comfortably sits in third place on the points table, with 15 points from 11 matches. While Rajasthan, already eliminated from playoff contention, is placed ninth with just 3 wins from 12 games.
In the second match of the day, the Delhi Capitals will face Gujarat Titans at 7:30 PM at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
A win for Gujarat will secure them a spot in the playoffs, as they currently stands second on the table with 16 points from 11 matches. Delhi, on the other hand, is in fifth place with 13 points from 11 games.
Earlier, defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) were eliminated from the tournament as their match against hosts Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) was abandoned without a toss due to heavy rain at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium last evening.
The washout saw RCB move to the top of the points table with 17 points from 12 matches. KKR, with 12 points from 13 matches, are now out of playoff contention, and their final league fixture against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be a mere formality.
