Union Minister Kiren Rijiju today met the Prime Minister of Bhutan, Tshering Tobgay. In a social media post, the Minister said that their discussion reflects the depth of India-Bhutan friendship and the values that both countries uphold.
Mr Rijiju added that Bhutan’s reverence for the Holy Buddha Relics continues to inspire harmony and connection between the people of the two countries.
The Minister reached Bhutan earlier in the day. He is leading a delegation for the return of the Sacred Relics of Lord Buddha, which were brought to the Himalayan nation for public exposition.
The relics from India were enshrined at the Grand Kuenrey Hall in Tashichhodzong as a special gesture for the Global Peace Prayer Festival, organised by Bhutan.
