Kilauea Volcano located on Hawaii Island has recently gained widespread attention due to dramatic lava fountain eruptions which shot lava 100 feet in the air. It marks the 31st eruption since December, 2024 strengthening Kilauea’s reputation as one of the most active volcanoes in the world. The most recent eruption started on Friday and the lava was flowing in the Crater Circle creating a dramatic display for both the locals and the tourists.
No homes or infrastructure have been threatened so far, as the eruption remains contained within the crater. Kilauea’s eruptions have been occurring in the Halemaumau Crater which is part of the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.
