In Keralam, the new UDF Ministry has decided to implement free travel for women passengers in State Transport buses. Chief Minister V D Satheesan has informed that details regarding the same will be declared later. He was addressing the media after the first Cabinet meeting of the new Ministry.
The Assembly session will be convened on the 21st of this month for the oath-taking of new members and the election of the Speaker.
Increasing the wages for ASHA workers, Anganvadi workers, helpers and cooking workers are another popular decisions taken be the first Cabinet.
The Chief Minister also informed that a special investigation team will be formed to re investigate the allegation that former Chief Minster’s Gunmen attached protesters in Alapuzha district last year. V D Satheesan claimed that this decision is not a political vendetta.
