Leaders of the three major political fronts have stepped up their campaign activities in different parts of the state. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Leader of the Opposition V. D. Satheesan, and BJP State President Rajeev Chandrasekhar are among the prominent leaders who will take part in electioneering in the coming days. Senior national leaders from various political parties are also expected to arrive in the state to campaign. Meanwhile, scrutiny of nomination papers will be carried out today. The final picture of the electoral contest will become clear on Thursday, after the deadline for withdrawal of nominations.
