In Kerala, the Meteorological Department has issued an Orange alert indicating isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall in five districts. The other nine districts are under yellow alert, indicating isolated heavy rainfall. Earlier in the morning yellow alert was declared in all 14 districts of Kerala.
The yellow alert was revised as an orange alert in Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad and Malappuram Districts in Kerala today. Earlier in the morning, these districts were under a yellow alert indicating isolated heavy rainfall. Yellow alerts will continue in all nine other districts in Kerala. Looking ahead to tomorrow, a Red alert indicating extremely heavy rainfall is declared in the districts of Idukki, Palakkad and Malappuram. Orange alert will be there in seven districts, while yellow alert will continue in the other four districts of Kerala.
