Kerala Governor Rajendra Viswanath Arlerkar today inaugurated the SPARSH Outreach programme in Thiruvananthapuram for pensioners, organised by the Controller General of Defence Accounts. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Arlerkar said, providing timely benefits to Defence Pensioners is not only their right but also the responsibility of officials.

He also urged the use of technology to ensure the fastest possible service delivery. Controller General of Defence Accounts, Rajkumar Arora, was present in the programme along with representatives from the banks handling Defence pensions and nine record offices from across the country.
