Keralam Chief Electoral Officer Ratan U Kelkar has said that the Media Certification and Monitoring Committee has started its work as part of the assembly elections. He informed that the certification of political advertisements given in visual and social media and monitoring of paid news in connection with the general elections will be carried out at the state level by a four-member committee headed by the Additional CEO.

 

LDF candidate V Sivankutty filed his nomination papers in the Nemom assembly constituency of Thiruvananthapuram. UDF candidate K Muraleedharan filed his nomination papers in Vattiyoorkavu and NDA candidate V. Muraleedharan filed his nomination papers in Kazhakuttam. UDF candidate Ramya Haridas filed her nomination papers in the Chirayinkeezhu assembly constituency.

 

Sudhir Karamana has been declared as the independent candidate of the Left Front in the Thiruvananthapuram constituency in the assembly elections. Kannur Peravoor constituency LDF candidate KK Shailaja has filed her nomination. In Kannur constituency, NDA candidate C Raghunath will file his nomination at 3 pm today. Peravoor constituency UDF candidate Sunny Joseph will also file his nomination today.

 

Kozhikode Beypore constituency LDF candidate P. A. Muhammed Riyas filed his nomination. Kozhikode North UDF candidate K. Jayant filed his nomination a little while ago. NDA candidates M. Mohanan of Perambra constituency and Ramadas Manaleri of Kuttiyadi will also file their nominations today.
