Kerala Assembly budget session to begin tomorrow in Thiruvananthapuram

The budget session of the Kerala Legislative Assembly will commence tomorrow in Thiruvananthapuram. The session is expected to be the final sitting of the current Assembly before the completion of its term. The Kerala Legislative Assembly session, scheduled up to March 26, may be cut short if the Election Commission announces the Assembly election schedule meanwhile.

The session will begin on Tuesday with Governor Rajendra Viswanath Arlekar’s address. Finance Minister K. N. Balagopal will present the state Budget on the 29th of this month. With informal electioneering already underway, it is expected to see sharp political exchanges on the floor.
