The Karnataka State Cabinet has decided to issue a comprehensive Government Order to regulate the use of public places by private or non-governmental organisations. The Parliamentary Affairs Minister, H K Patil, informed media persons in Bengaluru today that prior permission has to be sought before using public places, including schools and colleges. When asked whether the order is targeted at RSS shakhas in public grounds, the Minister said, it will hold good for all the private organisations.

Speaking to media persons after the cabinet meeting, the IT-BT Minister Priyanka Kharge informed that the new rules will forbid unregulated use of government schools, colleges, government premises and institutions. When probed further, he added that all activities on Government premises will now be regulated.
