Kargil Vijay Diwas is being observed in Puducherry today with heartfelt tributes to the brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice during the Kargil War. At a commemorative event held at the War Memorial on Beach Road, Chief Minister N. Rangasamy laid a floral wreath and paid homage to the fallen heroes. A two-minute silence was observed in their memory. Personnel from the Indian Coast Guard, National Cadet Corps, and a large number of ex-servicemen participated in the solemn occasion, offering floral tributes and joining in collective remembrance of the Kargil martyrs.
