In Kargil, the Cooperative Department organised a special programme highlighting the national importance of cooperatives in promoting self-reliance and rural economic development.

On this occasion, Executive Councillor for Cooperatives, LAHDC Kargil, Er. Punchok Tashi was the Cheif Guest. Over 100 Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS) members and cooperative staff from various villages participated.

Executive Councillor Er Punchok Tashi highlighted the transformative potential of these societies in enhancing rural livelihoods and contributing to the nation’s economic growth.

The initiative reflects the Government of India’s commitment to promoting rural development, enhancing agricultural credit, and fostering sustainable growth through cooperatives.
