Jyotiraditya Scindia Says India Post Aims to Become Global Logistics Powerhouse by 2030

Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia today said India Post is now moving fast to become a major logistics powerhouse in the country and aims to be a global player by 2030. The Minister made these remarks while releasing a commemorative stamp marking 75 years of the Postal Training Centre (PTC) Saharanpur in New Delhi.
 
Calling the day historic, he praised the 75-year-old training centre for shaping thousands of postal employees with strong values of service, efficiency, accuracy, and Nation First, Service First. The minister said that institutions like PTC Saharanpur have trained nearly 2.5 lakh postal workers over 75 years. Every year, around 30 thousand trainees pass through its gates. He described PTC as not just a building but a place where history is made with every breath and where ordinary employees are turned into dedicated Karma Yogis ready to serve the nation.
 
During the event, a commemorative postage stamp was released marking the 75 years of the Postal Training Centre (PTC) Saharanpur, and the Government of Goa and Cochin Port Authority signed an agreement for onboarding onto the System for Accounting and Management of Pension – SAMPANN. SAMPANN is an integrated, online pension management system for Department of Telecommunications pensioners, creating a single platform for processing, sanctioning and disbursing pension directly to the bank account of pensioners. It also offers online grievance redressal, digital profile management and transaction records, enhancing transparency and efficiency for telecom retirees.
