Minister of Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia today said that the increased turnover of BSNL is a clear indication of the government’s commitment to strengthening public sector undertakings and empowering them to drive India’s telecom revolution. Mr Scindia said this while chairing a quarterly financial review meeting of key telecom PSUs in New Delhi.

The review meeting highlighted BSNL’s achievement of record profit in the last two quarters of the financial year 2024-25, which is a significant improvement from a loss of about 8 hundred 50 crore rupees in the last quarter of the previous fiscal year. The Minister added that BSNL, Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL), and ITI Limited have demonstrated encouraging progress, that reflects a collective push towards sustainable expansion and deeper digital connectivity across the nation.
