In Jammu and Kashmir, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today announced that helicopter services for pilgrims visiting the revered Shiv Khori Shrine will begin shortly, as the necessary infrastructure is now in the final stages of completion. The announcement was made by the LG while addressing the 11th Convocation Ceremony of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University at Katra.
The Lieutenant Governor informed that construction work on the helipads at both Katra and Shiv Khori is almost complete, clearing all major hurdles for the launch of the much-anticipated heli service. He said the proposed helicopter connectivity will be a major relief for senior citizens and persons with disabilities.
