In Jharkhand, Hazaribagh Police have arrested eight members of the banned TSPC extremist organisation in a major crackdown in the Urimari OP area, seizing weapons and other materials. Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted the suspects near Aswa and Gudkuwa villages.

The vehicle carrying them crashed while attempting to flee, leading to their arrest. Police recovered two rifles, a country-made pistol, numerous live cartridges of various calibres, mobile phones, and the vehicle. During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused were in contact with zonal commander Bhikhan Ganjhu and sub-zonal commander Dinesh and were involved in extortion, terror activities, and a prior firing incident in the Patratu area of Ramgarh district.
