A team from the School Education Department flagged off Jammu students yesterday for participation in the 26th Rashtra Katha Shivir, being organised by the Shri Vedic Mission Trust in Rajkot district of Gujarat. This was the third and final batch of students, consisting of 85 students and four escort teachers. The first batch, comprising 45 students and 3 escort teachers, departed on December 25, followed by the second batch of 77 students and 4 escort teachers on December 26.
In total, 207 students, accompanied by 11 escort teachers, are representing Jammu at this prestigious national-level camp. The 26th Rashtra Katha Shivir aims to nurture youth by strengthening moral values, cultural understanding and leadership skills through motivational and value-based sessions. During the send-off, the mentors highlighted the significance of such exposure programmes in fostering national integration, social and religious harmony besides overall personality development.
