International Statistical Education Centre (ISEC) has organized a five-day international workshop, starting today, to mark its 75 years of existence at Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Secretary, Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation Dr Saurabh Garg in his inaugural address at the event said that 75 years is a proud moment for ISEC and it underscores the importance of statistics.

 

 

Highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Lifestyle for the Environment (LiFE) initiative, he said that the movement supports sustainable living. Founded in 1950, ISEC is an associate institution of the Indian Statistical Institute, in association with the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and Ministry of External Affairs.
