Iran has confirmed that Revolutionary Guards Navy Commander Alireza Tangsiri has died after sustaining severe injuries.
Earlier this month, Israel’s Defence Minister, Israel Katz announced that the Israel Defense Forces carried out a ‘precise and lethal’ operation that killed Mr. Tangsiri along with other senior naval commanders.
In a video statement, Katz claimed that Tangsiri had been directly responsible for operations involving the mining and attempted blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.
