In IPL cricket, Rajasthan Royals beat Lucknow Super Giants by 40 runs last night. Chasing a target of 160, Lucknow Super Giants could make only 119 runs in 18 overs at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. Super Giants won the toss and opted to bowl.

Put into bat first, Rajasthan Royals posted 159 for six in 20 overs. The win took Royals to the second spot with 10 points from seven games despite a shoddy batting effort. LSG, on the other hand, remained 9th after a fourth straight defeat. Ravindra Jadeja was declared player of the match.
