IPL 2025: KKR, PBKS share points after rain abandons match

In IPL T20 cricket, the Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings shared points after their match was abandoned due to incessant rain and thunderstorms at Eden Gardens in Kolkata last night. Chasing a target of 202 runs, Kolkata Knight Riders were 7 for no loss after one over, when rain stopped play.

 

Earlier, opting to bat, Punjab Kings posted 201 for four in the stipulated 20 overs, with Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh smashing half-centuries and sharing a 120-run opening-wicket stand. Priyansh Arya scored 69, while Prabhsimran Singh made 83. For Kolkata, Vaibhav Arora claimed two wickets.

 

Punjab Kings are now placed fourth in the table with 11 points from nine games, while KKR are seventh with seven points from nine matches.

 

In a double-header today, Mumbai Indians will face Lucknow Super Giants in Mumbai at 3:30 in the afternoon, while Delhi Capitals will take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Delhi at 7:30 this evening.
