In IPL cricket, Rajasthan Royals defeated Mumbai Indians by 27 runs at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati last night. The start of the match was delayed by over two and a half hours and reduced to 11-over due to persistent rain.
Batting first, Rajasthan scored 150 for 3. Yashasvi Jaiswal led the innings with an unbeaten 77 off 32 balls, while 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi made a quick 39 off 14 balls. The pair added 80 runs in just 5 overs. Yashasvi Jaiswal was named Player of the Match after for his unbeaten innings.
In reply, Mumbai could only reach 123 for 9 failing short of the target. Sherfane Rutherford and Naman Dhir scored 25 each. Rajasthan’s bowlers, including Sandeep Sharma, Ravi Bishnoi, and Nandre Burger, took two wickets each.
In today’s fixture, Delhi Capitals will take on Gujarat Titans in the 14th match of the tournament at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The match will begin at 7:30 PM.
