Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority Holds Investor Education Workshop on Women’s Day

The Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPFA), in collaboration with the National Council of Applied Economic Research and Sapphire International School, organised an Investor Education and Protection Workshop to mark International Women’s Day today. The event was held under the aegis of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. The Ministry informed that the workshop focused on the theme ‘The Future is Now – Financial Education for Gen Alpha and Bridging the Gender Gap for Viksit Bharat.
 
The programme highlighted the importance of financial literacy for the younger generation and the need to enhance women’s participation in achieving the vision of a developed India.
 
Addressing the event, CEO of IEPFA and Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Anita Shah Akella, said that as the country witnesses rapid growth in digital payments, early financial education is essential to help young citizens develop safe financial habits and avoid cyber fraud. She also stressed the importance of empowering women and girls through financial awareness and informed decision-making.
