In Punjab, the International Yoga Day has been celebrated in various districts by the concerned district administrations involving large number of people.
The Border Security Force (BSF) celebrated the day at all its Units and at Headquarters in Punjab under the theme “Ek Prithvee, Ek Swaasthya Ke Liye Yog”. The special function was held at the Joint Check Post (JCP), Attari in Amritsar.
Inspector General of BSF Punjab Frontier, Dr. Atul Fulzele said that the event was also aimed at uniting BSF troops with residents of border villages.
Mohali Deputy Commissioner, Komal Mittal said that the day was celebrated by involving a large number of people from health fraternity.
In the Union Territor of Chandigarh, Punjab Governor and Administrator U.T, Chandigarh, Sh.Gulab Chand Kataria led the landmark event celebrating health, wellness, and harmony.
Akashvani Jalandhar also celebrated the International Yoga Day in its premises.
