Chief Justice of India Surya Kant flagged off a walkathon at Sukhna Lake police post in Chandigarh on International Women’s Day today. The 2.5 kilometer ‘Women’s Day Walkathon’, concluded at Open Hand Monument.

Speaking to reporters after the event, Justice Kant said, the walkathon was aimed at raising awareness about women’s rights. Justice Kant appreciated the participation of Young lawyers and judges in the event.

Justice Sheel Nagu, Chief Justice of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana, also took part in the event.

Meanwhile, A women’s marathon was organised at Dronacharya Stadium in Kurukshetra today.

For the first time, a vintage car and bike rally was organised in Faridabad. The rally was inaugurated by Cabinet Minister Vipul Goyal. The rally saw many rare and attractive vintage cars and bikes.
