The International Film Festival Delhi (IFFD) 2026 begins today at Bharat Mandapam in the national capital. The week-long festival will showcase over 130 films from around the world, marking a significant addition to India’s global cinema calendar.
Running from today until the 31st of this month, the International Film Festival Delhi will feature over 130 screenings from 47 countries. Curated from more than 2,000 submissions across 101 nations, the line-up reflects the festival’s scale and global significance. The festival opens with Sirât, an Oscar-nominated road film by acclaimed filmmaker Oliver Laxe, setting a strong international tone. It will conclude with Amoeba, a striking debut by Singaporean director Tan Siyou, highlighting a commitment to fresh and diverse cinematic voices.
The event will also witness the presence of prominent personalities from both Indian and international cinema, including Vicky Kaushal, Hema Malini, Bhumi Pednekar, Rana Daggubati, Madhur Bhandarkar, and Subhash Ghai. With its rich global line-up and vibrant industry participation, the festival aims to establish itself as a dynamic platform for cinematic dialogue, creativity, and collaboration in the years ahead.
