Indian Naval Ship INS Trikand will participate in the 58th National Day celebrations of Mauritius tomorrow. The ship reached Port Louis yesterday as part of its operational deployment to the South-West Indian Ocean Region.
The Ministry of Defence said a marching contingent, naval band and an integral helicopter from INS Trikand will take part in the National Day Parade at Champ de Mars. Commanding Officer Captain Sachin Kulkarni is also scheduled to call on senior officials of the Mauritian Government and the Mauritius Coast Guard. The visit is aimed at strengthening maritime cooperation, enhancing operational interoperability and further deepening bilateral relations between India and Mauritius.
