The Indian Navy’s oceanographic research vessel INS Sagardhwani departed from Port Klang in Malaysia yesterday after concluding a successful engagement with the Royal Malaysian Navy. The Ministry of Defence informed that during the port call, personnel from both Navies held a series of professional and scientific interactions focusing on modern hydrographic practices, marine environmental research and advancements in oceanographic technologies.
It added that a delegation from the Hydrographic Department of the Royal Malaysian Navy also visited the ship and was briefed on onboard oceanographic systems. The deployment underlines the growing maritime partnership between India and Malaysia and reflects the shared commitment of both Navies towards regional engagement, knowledge sharing and closer professional cooperation.
