An inquiry commission has been set up under the Chairmanship of IAS Govinda Rao. The District Collector of Virudhunagar, Subaputra and the Superintendent of Police, Sreenatha, are also part of the inquiry commission. The Officers visited the government hospital in Virudhunagar, where four labourers and 12 fire service and police personnel are receiving treatment. The relatives of those killed in the accident held protests demanding relief.
