Two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu has advanced to the pre-quarterfinals after her opponent Pai Yu Po of Chinese Taipei decided to call it quits due to injury and retired from the round of 32 match yesterday. Sindhu was leading 21-8; 13-7 when the match was called off.
