Two delegations under India’s aggressive global campaign to further expose Pakistan-sponsored terrorism, which embarked yesterday, have reached their first country as part of their scheduled tour. An all-party parliamentary delegation led by JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha has reached Japan. The delegation met with the Indian ambassador to Japan, Sibi George there.
Sharing a social media post of Indian Embassy in Japan, External Affairs Ministry’s spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal informed that all-party parliamentary delegation was briefed by Ambassador Sibi George on Japan- specific approach to engagements, setting the context for a strong messaging of India’s fight against terrorism.
This delegation is on a five nation tour of Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan and Singapore as part of India’s diplomatic outreach on Operation Sindoor.
In his social media post after arriving in Japan, MP Sanjay Kumar Jha said that the delegation is seeking continued support in India’s stand against cross-border terrorism. He added that India’s measured response in Operation Sindoor showed India’s zero-tolerance approach. Mr. Jha said that Japan and India stand united for peace and democratic values.
Another delegation led by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde has also reached the UAE. The delegation is scheduled to visit Liberia, Congo and Sierra Leone to affirm New Delhi’s resolve on combating terrorism in all its forms. The delegations are carrying India’s strong message of zero tolerance against terrorism and apprise about Operation Sindoor.
Our correspondent reports that seven multi-party delegations have been set up to reach out to the international community on Pakistan’s nefarious designs and India’s successful anti-terror operation. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri will brief the delegations today. The group, led by BJP MP Baijayant Panda, will visit Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Algeria.
This delegation will include Veteran leader Ghulam Nabi Azad, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey and AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi. The delegation led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, will visit the UK, France, Germany, the EU, Italy, and Denmark. The delegation includes, Congress MP Dr Amar Singh, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi and former Union Minister M J Akbar. The delegation, led by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, will visit the US, Panama, Guyana, Brazil, and Colombia.
The delegation, led by DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, will visit Spain, Greece, Slovenia, Latvia, and Russia. It includes National Conference MP Mian Altaf Ahmed, Samajawadi party MP Rajeev Rai and RJD MP Prem Chand Gupta.
The seventh group led by NCP (SCP) MP Supriya Sule, will visit Egypt, Qatar, Ethiopia, and South Africa. This delegation also includes BJP’s Rajiv Pratap Rudy and Anurag Singh Thakur, former Union Minister V Muraleedharan as well as Congress MP Manish Tewari.
