An Indian student from Hyderabad, who went to the US for his higher studies, was shot dead by miscreants in Texas, former Telangana minister and BRS MLA T Harish Rao said today.

The victim, Chandrashekar Pole, was reportedly working part-time at a gas station in Denton, Texas, when the incident occurred.The victim had completed his Bachelor’s in Dental Surgery(BDS) before moving to Dallas for further studies, said Harish Rao, the nephew of BRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao. Harish Rao said he and other party leaders visited the family of the victim at his house in Hyderabad to express their condolences. He urged the Revanth Reddy-led Telangana government to bring back the victim’s body for the last rites.The victim earlier worked with American Express as a data analyst in Chennai from 2021 to 2023 and as a programmer analyst with Hitachi Energy in Bengaluru from 2020 to 2021
