Indian shuttler Tanvi Sharma storms into semifinal of Women’s Singles in Orleans Masters Badminton

In Orleans Masters Badminton, Indian shuttler Tanvi Sharma has stormed into the semifinal of Women’s Singles. She defeated Japan’s Natsuki Nidaira 21-14, 21-14 in the quarterfinal clash at Palais des Sports in France this evening. Meanwhile, another all-Indian quarter-final between Malvika Bansod and her compatriot Isharani Baruah is currently underway. The outcome of this match will guarantee India at least one more semi-finalist in the women’s singles category.
 
Earlier in the day, Indian duo of Arjun Madathil Ramachandran and Hariharan Amsakarunan lost to Indonesian pair of Bagas Maulana and Leo Carnando 12-21, 20-22 in Men’s Doubles quarterfinal at Palais des Sports in France.
