Indian Railways has promoted three women cricketers – Pratika Rawal, Sneh Rana, and Renuka Singh Thakur to the Group B officer-grade post of Officer on Special Duty. The Railway Ministry said the promotions were granted in recognition of their exceptional performances in this year’s ICC Women’s World Cup campaign. It added that all three players will now be entitled to the benefits of a Group B Gazetted Officer. The Ministry further noted that the three players were already serving with Indian Railways prior to this promotion.
