The Indian Navy today inaugurated its premier Naval Sailing Node at Upper Lake (Bhojtaal) in Bhopal.
The Ministry of Defence said that the facility aims to motivate the youth of Madhya Pradesh to embrace competitive water sports and inspire them to join the Defence Forces.
The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, along with senior officials from defence forces and civil administration, National Cadet Corps Cadets and students. The Ministry said that the initiative aligns with the objectives of the National Sports Policy to promote excellence and expand the talent pool in competitive sports.
