High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh Pranay Verma paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman today and conveyed New Delhi’s intention to work closely with the country’s newly formed government.
The high commissioner reiterated India’s desire to strengthen people-centric cooperation across all sectors through a positive, constructive and forward-looking partnership based on mutual interest and shared benefit.
Earlier in the day, Verma also met State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaid Islam. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening bilateral relations.
