The Embassy said in a social media post that the person had come to the Embassy in Rome but he refused to show his identity or passport. The Embassy said they follow some standard security protocols for visitors. It said it remains committed to offering all possible assistance to Indian nationals. The Embassy has a regular outreach to all members of the Indian community.
