Team India cricket players visited the Temple City of Puri today to offer prayers at the Sri Jagannath Temple ahead of their upcoming match against south Africa at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. Four members of the Indian squad including captain Suryakumar Yadav and chief coach Gautam Gambhir travelled to the pilgrim city for the darshan.
India and South Africa will play the opening T20 International of the series, with the match scheduled for 7 this evening. Coming off a Test defeat and an ODI series win in the ongoing tour, India is looking to re-establish control in the shorter format, with team management indicating a steady approach rather than sweeping changes.
