Indian boxers to begin campaign at Asian Championships in Ulaanbaatar

Indian boxers will begin their campaign at the Asian Championships in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, tomorrow. The tournament is the first major event in a packed season, which also includes the Commonwealth Games 2026, the Asian Games 2026 and the World Boxing Cup Finals in Uzbekistan.
 
The championships hold added importance, as finalists will secure direct qualification for the Commonwealth Games and Asian Games, as per the selection policy of the Boxing Federation of India.
 
The Indian team has been training in Mongolia for the past 15 days, taking part in multinational camps and sparring with boxers from several countries.
 
In the women’s category, the challenge will be led by Lovlina Borgohain, Nikhat Zareen, Minakshi Hooda and Jaismine Lamboria. In the men’s section, the focus will be on Jadumani Singh, Sachin Siwach and Narender Berwal.
