Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. L. Murugan, today said that India has witnessed significant growth and good governance over the last 11 years under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He was speaking at a press conference in Puducherry, marking the completion of 11 years of the Modi government.
The Minister said that the country has moved from an era of corruption and weak administration to one of transparent and people-centric governance. He noted that India has become the world’s fourth-largest economy and lifted 27 crore people out of poverty.
Dr. L. Murugan further highlighted that the government has given priority to women’s empowerment, farmers’ welfare, and poverty alleviation. He also cited development in Jammu & Kashmir following the abrogation of Article 370, the successful use of indigenous defence technology in Operation Sindoor, and the significant decline in Naxal activities as major achievements of the Modi government.
